Radically Inclusive, Revolutionary Heathenry

"We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings."

- Ursula K. Le Guin

Ergi Hol is a heathen kindred founded by two proud, neurodivergent transgender faggots (positive) based in Portland, Oregon. Between the looming threat of climate catastrophe, the rise of end-times fascism, the erosion of trans, queer, immigrant, and reproductive rights in the United States, an ongoing genocide taking place in Palestine orchestrated by the US and Israel (for which most of the Western world has been callously silent when not outright complicit), and the steady slew of atrocities taking place globally in the name of Western imperialism, white supremacy, and capitalist hegemony, it is safe to say that we as a species are facing our very own Ragnarok.

Indeed, there is much we stand to lose to the forces of these evils - manmade though no less powerful. And yet, in the midst of the chaos and the heartbreak and the misery, we at Ergi Hol take inspiration from the examples set by the Gods, our human and nonhuman ancestors, as well as the intrinsic resilience of the land and the many beings that share her with us. We stand firm in our belief that human beings are capable of righting the generational wrongs that have carved such deep wounds into the world we love and cherish. Make no mistake, it will not be easy work. But with enough love, wisdom, courage, skill, luck, and divine guidance, we believe that we can forge a movement to turn the tides of fate and resist Ragnarok.
